Movie Night

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we’d love to invite you to a special Family Movie Night featuring The Prince of Egypt. This powerful and beautifully animated film tells the story of God’s rescue of His people and points us toward the greater story of redemption we celebrate at Easter. It’s a meaningful way for families to gather, enjoy time together, and reflect on God’s faithfulness in a way kids can understand and enjoy.
Feel free to bring blankets or pillows and invite another family to join you! We can’t wait to spend this special evening together!
The Kingdom of Heaven - Palm Sunday

Join us as we explore Matthew’s powerful narrative of how the kingdom of heaven breaks into our world through its King. The gospel opens with the arrival of the King, his anointing, and his announcement that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Throughout his ministry, Jesus reveals the nature of this kingdom—an upside-down kingdom of restoration and grace—through parables, healing, and self-giving love. The story moves toward the scandal of the cross, where the King is rejected and crucified under the sign “King of the Jews.” Yet the final word belongs not to death but to resurrection, as Jesus rises as the victorious King who has inaugurated God’s kingdom in full power.

On Friday, April 3, Good Friday, you’re invited to a special evening church gathering to remember why Jesus’ death on the cross is good news for us, followed by a potluck meal to celebrate the life of Jesus and what he means to us. Jesus is the Risen King! That first Easter is the beginning of God’s new world, transforming creation rather than just offering an escape to heaven. On Easter we celebrate Christ’s Resurrection as something that happened and still happens to us. For each one of us received the gift of that new life and the power to accept it and to live by it. It is a gift which radically alters our attitude toward everything in this world, including death. Come and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus this Easter with King’s Community.
