All the needs and events we have as we prepare to move into the facility.
The time has come. Sunday, March 5 will be our first worship gathering in our new facility. While there’s a lot for us to celebrate, here are a few things you should know:
Our new start time is 10:00 a.m. Earlier start times were necessary at Guadalupe Brewing because they’re open for business on Sundays. Beginning Sunday, March 5 kids check-in will be before our gatherings which will begin at 10:00 a.m.
We’ll no longer be serving breakfast every week. Meals together will still be an important part of the life of the church, however, a big part of the reason we’ve had weekly breakfast is because of the earlier start times.
Things are going to look and feel different…and that’s good! We’ve endured a lot of change through our first four years of ministry, which has helped us understand our identity as a church is about people…not a special place where we gather. Our goal was never to see how difficult and minimalistic we could be. Our mission has always been to bring God’s story to life so that we can see lives redeemed, families transformed, communities blessed, and more churches planted. While some things about us are going to change in this next season, our mission and vision remain the same.
When things change it’s OK to grieve “the good old days.” But we tend to romanticize those times. I miss when my kids were babies, but I don’t miss changing diapers and sleep deprivation. God has certainly given us a lot of good stories that we’ll be able to share about how he preserved and built his church through all sorts of challenges and change. But let’s not allow the grief to cause us to forget why we’re here. God has placed us in a broken and hurting world to show and share the love of Jesus Christ. There’s a lot of good that’s been done, and there’s a lot of good left to do ahead of us!
These past 4 years have prepared us for what’s next. I am excited to be on this journey with you! Let’s enter into this next season asking God to give us an even greater redemptive imagination of how we can bring his story to life.
There’s another chance to help get the facility ready for our transition. View those opportunities below!
